Aidan McCarthy, a sophomore at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, secured second place in the men's invitational 8-kilometer race in 23:45.9 at the UC Riverside Invitational at the Ag-Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. McCarthy contributed to Cal Poly placing seven athletes in the top 30 to achieve a 59-90 victory over Southern Utah.
