Spencer Pickren, a freshman at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, won the men's open 8-kilometer race in 24:42.2 at the UC Riverside Invitational at the Ag-Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. Pickren helped Cal Poly prevail by a 39-52 margin over UC Santa Barbara.
