Julia Heckey, a sophomore at Cal Poly, took third in the Big West Conference women's cross country final at the Ag-Ops course in Riverside, Calif. Heckey covered the 6-kilometer layout in 19:50.2 to lead the Mustangs to their first women's team title since 2018 and the eighth in program history with a dramatic 63-64 victory against UC Irvine.
