Jake Ritter, a senior at Cal Poly, made history by winning his third career Big West Conference men's cross country individual title at the Ag-Ops course in Riverside, Calif. Ritter covered the 8-kilometer layout in 23:27.4 to help the Mustangs sweep the top three spots and produce a 22-67 victory against UC Santa Barbara. Ritter also won the individual crown in 2018 and 2019, but didn't compete at the conference final last year because of injury. Cal Poly won its first men's team title since 2019 and the 18th in program history.
