Davis Bove, a graduate student-athlete at Cal Poly, won the men's 8-kilometer race in 23:37.4 at the Big West Conference Cross Country Championships at Blacklake Golf Resort in Nipomo, Calif. Bove helped Cal Poly place six athletes in the top 15 to prevail by a 27-87 margin against UC Santa Barbara, securing back-to-back men's team titles and the 19th crown for the Mustangs in the past 25 championship meets. Bove also gave Cal Poly 14 men's individual victories in the past 25 Big West finals.
